Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. We’re commemorating 25 years of serving Canadians with medically and physically limiting disabilities, and we’re looking forward to the continued expansion of both the facilities and the programs at Dog Guides.

In addition to our regular fundraising programs, we have special anniversary initiatives for everyone who wants to contribute to the continued success of this organization. Whether small or large, all donations help the foundation accomplish its goals.

Take a look at the fundraising ideas below to find out how you can contribute
to the success of our 25th anniversary and our future.

Message from Joan Leeder – 25th Anniversary Volunteer Coordinator

Greetings,

We are now in our 25th anniversary year and our fundraising efforts are underway. Our major thrust so far is the campaign to “Light the Path of Darkness” by selling energy efficient compact fluorescent light bulbs ($9 per pair).

We are also collection names of representatives, from Lions Clubs and the community, who are willing to organize fundraisers in support of Dog Guides. These representatives’ organizational packages are in the mail as we speak. They are full of suggestions of way to get involved. For those who wish them, detailed “How To Do” sheets will be forwarded upon request. Some examples of activities are flea markets and auctions of donated goods and services or family events such as BBQ’s and sporting events.

For more information please do not hesitate to email me. Let's try to meet and even surpass our objectives, so even more clients may celebrate their independence. Let's make this 25th year one to remember.

Joan Leeder
