Help Make it Happen

Thank you for considering a gift to Lions Foundation of Canada/Dog Guides Canada. Your contribution is critical to our success.

Lions Foundation of Canada, the founder and primary supporter of Dog Guides Canada, is a unique charity. With no government funding, the Lions Foundation has grown from a dream to an established and rapidly expanding charity that contributes in a very real way to the day-to-day lives of Canadians with disabilities.
It takes many resources to raise, train and place a highly skilled Dog Guide. From learning basic household manners to honing the skills required of them in service, it costs approximately $20,000. Lions Foundation of Canada believes no one should be denied their independence as an active member of their community. That’s why each Dog Guide is provided at no cost to recipients. All costs are funded entirely by donations and fundraising events.

There are many ways you can help make a difference in the lives of people with disabilities.

Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides Continued Commitment to Ethical Fundraising

Lions Foundation of Canada places a high value on our relationship with you, our donors. Without your support we would not be able to achieve our mission of providing Dog Guides to Canadians with disabilities. We thank you for your commitment to us.

We believe that transparency and accountability are essential to our success and are proud members of Imagine Canada’s Ethical Code Program.

The Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code sets standards for charities in the areas of fundraising and financial reporting practices. By adhering to these standards, we are complying with generally accepted practices for soliciting and managing donor dollars. This is important because our donors are entitled to transparency and the greatest impact possible for your investment in us. We will continue to maintain the highest ethical standards in the protection of our donors and in our fundraising and financial practices.

If you have any questions about our adherence to the Ethical Code, please feel free to contact us at 1.800.768.3030. You can also download the Ethical Code itself by going to www.imaginecanada.ca
