Introducing, CHANDLER!
Chandler is a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to be close to his people. He’s always happy to have a
snuggle on the couch or simply follow you from room to room, he just wants to be where you are!
Chandler is still very much a puppy at heart, he’s playful, eager, and full of potential. With time,
guidance, and maturity, Chandler is sure to grow into a well-rounded companion.
Chandler is a big fan of other dogs and gets very excited when he sees them out and about. He would
love a canine companion to help burn off energy and keep him busy, though he would also do well as a
solo dog with the right outlets. He hasn’t ever been around cats but given his big personality, he may
come across too strong for a fluffy little friend.
Chandler is still working through some challenging behaviours, particularly in the home. He has a history
of getting into things he shouldn’t … Counter surfing, checking tables, and investigating garbage are
some of his favorite “activities.” If he does manage to grab something he shouldn’t have, he’s quick to
turn it into a game of keep-away and gets great pleasure from watching you chase him around.
Consistent management will be key, as Chandler will absolutely take advantage of any opportunity he
finds. On the plus side, he is very comfortable in his crate and settles nicely in there when he’s left home
alone or when someone is home and just can’t keep a close eye on him.
Additionally, Chandler can become very overexcited when it’s time to put on his equipment. He has a
history of jumping up, grabbing at the leash or collar, and mouthing at hands and arms. While he has
started to make progress, this is still an ongoing behaviour that will require continued training and
patience.
Chandler is a loving, fun dog with so much to offer. For someone willing to put in the time and structure
he needs, he will repay you with endless affection, companionship, and plenty of personality
