Dusty is a one-of-a-kind girl with plenty of quirky charm and a personality that is impossible not to love. Beneath her unique traits is a sweet, affectionate dog who forms strong bonds with her people and is happiest curled up beside them for a cuddle. She walks beautifully on leash and truly enjoys quiet time spent with the people she trusts most.
Dusty is an underconfident girl who will thrive with an adopter that understands poodles and has
experience with the breed. New situations can feel overwhelming for her, and when she becomes
stressed, she may pace, spin, or whine as she tries to process what is happening around her. Certain floor surfaces and tight or narrow spaces can also make her uneasy. However, with patience, gentle encouragement, and lots of repetition, Dusty is capable of adjusting and becoming more comfortable in new environments over time.
Due to her sensitive personality, Dusty needs a calm, understanding home that will allow her to move at
her own pace without pressure. She can be hesitant about getting into vehicles, so she would likely do
best with a family that enjoys slower-paced living, neighbourhood walks, and staying closer to home
rather than constant outings and adventures.
Dusty also prefers the company of people over spending time alone. Crates are not her favourite place,
and she would much rather be near her humans whenever possible. Her ideal home would be one
where someone works from home or where people are around often to provide companionship and
reassurance.
For the right person, Dusty will be an incredibly rewarding companion. A gentle, loving girl who simply
