Say hello to handsome Hewitt! Hewitt is looking for a new home because is a strong boy and needs to work on some of his manners. He is looking for an active home that is interested in signing him up for training classes.
Hewitt is a happy boy who is ready to go, go, go! He has a great nose and loves to stop and smells the roses…and grass, bushes, trees, etc. He is working on focusing on his person during walks to help with his leash manners. He is strong on leash so he needs a capable handler and we highly recommend using a halti. He is eager to work for treats or play, and can’t wait to learn some new tricks.
Hewitt gets easily excited to say hello to people and can become jumpy or mouthy with his handler. He grew up with kids in the home however due to his excitement level he would do best in a home with teenagers. He lacks social skills around other dogs and doesn’t have an “off” switch so he is looking to be the only dog in the home. He has not been tested around cats or small animals.
At home, Hewitt loves to be near his people hanging out, cuddling or in the yard playing fetch and tug of war. If he’s unsupervised he likes to get into mischief and should be crated when left alone. He knows his basic obedience and travels well in the car, making him a great travel buddy! His dream home would have a nice fenced yard to run around in.
