Ora is available for adoption!

  • Name: Ora

Meet Ora! Ora is a 1-year-old Standard Poodle that was released from our training program because she has mild Hip Dysplasia. She has not shown any symptoms however she should avoid high impact exercise like agility or fly ball and we recommend adding in a joint supplement to help promote good joint health as she ages.

Ora is a spunky girl looking for an active home. Ora is good with other dogs and loves to have play dates. She has some prey drive so she is looking for a home without cats or small animals. She would be best suited to a home with older kids. She can get very excited to see her favourite people and is working on not jumping up but she will settle down after a few minutes.

Ora enjoys training and really loves extra tasty treats. She is learning to focus on her humans outside because there are so many exciting things to look at! Squirrels are her favourite thing to watch and chase. We recommend using a halti or body harness to help with leash walking. She knows basic obedience cues like sit, down, come and wait.

Ora would love to have a fenced yard where she can run around and play fetch to her heart’s content. She is comfortable in the car and would love to have some new adventures with her forever home. In the home, Ora is good in her crate and generally likes to be near her people. She also likes to pick up socks and play keep away so her new home should ensure these items are out of reach.

Ora is waiting for her perfect forever home and new best friend!
