Introducing, VALE!
This handsome young dog is a playful, social guy with a fun-loving personality and plenty of curiosity. He
has grown up in a busy home with lots of activity and has handled the hustle and bustle well. Vale
enjoys being part of the family and is happiest when he has opportunities to interact, learn, and explore.
In the home, Vale is a well-mannered and increasingly independent young dog. He is comfortable with a
consistent crate routine and settles well overnight or when his family is away. He can also be left loose
in the home and is often content to relax in his dog bed. Vale rarely barks and generally has a calm
presence around the house. Like many young dogs, Vale can be curious and may occasionally investigate
things such as laundry or the garbage, so some continued supervision will be important.
Vale is a friendly and gentle dog who enjoys meeting people and has had positive experiences around
children. He is also well socialized with other dogs and enjoys playing with his canine friends before
settling nicely. He has had some exposure to cats and has shown interest in them but has been able to
settle with time.
On walks, Vale has an active nose and enjoys taking in all the interesting scents around him. He has been
introduced to scent work and really enjoys opportunities to use his nose. An adopter who is interested
in exploring different scent-based activities with Vale would be a wonderful match for him and could
provide a great outlet for his natural curiosity.
Like many retrievers, Vale has a history of ear infections and may have an underlying allergy contributing
to them. His adopter should be prepared to work closely with their veterinarian to monitor his ears and
manage any flare-ups, helping to keep him comfortable and his ears healthy.
Vale is still very much a young dog and has plenty of playful energy. With his playful personality, love of
learning, and enthusiasm for using his nose, Vale is looking for an adopter who will enjoy continuing to
help him grow while giving him plenty of opportunities to explore, learn, and have fun.
