Quark is a happy-go-lucky boy with a huge heart and an even bigger love for his people. He was raised in
a busy household with young children, plenty of activity, and four cats! He has always been incredibly
gentle with children and loves being included in day-to-day family activities.
One of Quark’s most endearing qualities is how deeply connected he is to his people. He is a true
“shadow dog” who wants to be wherever you are. If you get up and move, Quark is usually right behind
you hoping for affection, pets, or simply to be nearby. He is affectionate, loving, and thrives on
companionship. He also travels wonderfully in the car, rarely barks, and has excellent recall.
As a young dog, Quark is still learning how to manage his excitement. He absolutely loves people and
other dogs, but sometimes his enthusiasm can get the best of him. When meeting new people or canine
friends, he can become overly excited and forget his manners for a moment. On walks, he may pull
toward things that interest him, particularly if he isn’t focused or doesn’t have guidance from his
handler. Quark responds extremely well to positive reinforcement and redirection, especially if he
knows treats are involved! With maturity, continued training, and clear expectations, Quark will
continue to grow into a wonderful companion.
Quark was career changed due to grade 1 elbow dysplasia, so his future family should be mindful of
keeping him fit and healthy while maintaining appropriate exercise. Overall, he is a loving, goofy, loyal
dog who is ready to bring endless joy and companionship to his forever family
