Introducing, Carson!
Carson is a well-mannered dog who walks nicely on leash and does a good job staying focused, even around distractions. He has enjoyed attending puppy classes and is generally easy to redirect if he gets excited, he truly just wants to be part of the fun! He loves car rides, is happy to go anywhere with his people, and would thrive in an active home that can give him both physical exercise and mental stimulation. While he has a playful side, Carson also knows how to settle and be calm when it’s time to relax.
At home, Carson is a friendly and social companion. He does well in his crate overnight and while his people are home, though he would much prefer to be with them and may whine a little at first. Like many young dogs, he’s had a brief phase of counter surfing, mostly for tea towels, and loves to carry socks or other found items around the house as treasures. He also enjoys backyard time but will need some supervision at first, as he’s been known to investigate plants, sticks, and the occasional outdoor cushion.
Carson is excellent with other dogs and would love a canine sibling but would also do just fine being a solo dog and getting all the attention. Although Carson has had limited exposure to kids, he has been around a few during his puppyhood and there were no concerns.
Carson has atopic dermatitis (allergies) which presents in very itchy skin and at times pyoderma on his chest and undercarriage. He requires a prescription diet from a veterinary and medication to help manage his symptoms.
Overall, Carson is a happy, social, affectionate dog who would do wonderfully in a home ready to keep him engaged, active, and loved.
