Be a Dog Guide Instructor
Every instructor starts as an apprentice. Apprentices learn to train dogs to high skill levels, work with and learn about people with a wide variety of disabilities and develop expertise in all aspects of dog care. The work is physically demanding with some evening and weekend shifts and occasional overnight travel across Canada. Instructors must be comfortable speaking publicly. After three years, an apprentice graduates as a highly trained and professional Dog Guide instructor with a long and fulfilling career ahead!
