Introducing, FERGIE!
Fergie is a bright, energetic girl with a love for life and an adventurous spirit to match. She thrives when
she has something to do and would be happiest with an active family that enjoys getting outside and
exploring. Whether it’s a long walk, a hike, a training session, or a trip to a new place, Fergie is always
ready to join in. She travels wonderfully in the car and is more than happy to jump in for the next
adventure.
Fergie is a social butterfly who gets along very well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a
canine companion to play with at home. However, she would be just as happy soaking up all the
attention as the only dog in the home. At home, once her exercise and enrichment needs have been
met, Fergie settles in nicely. She enjoys relaxing with her family or keeping herself entertained with her
favorite toys.
Like many young dogs, Fergie is still working on a few skills. In her foster home, she had no issues
sleeping in her crate overnight, but she can find it more challenging to settle during the day if there is
activity around her. Her new family should be committed to continuing her crate training and helping
her see it as a calm, comfortable place to relax. On leash, Fergie is capable of walking very nicely when
her handler keeps her engaged, although an interesting smell or distraction may occasionally get the
better of her. This is another area that her new family should be prepared to continue working on.
Fergie is a fun, affectionate dog with so much potential. With an active family that will continue her
training and provide plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and adventure, she is sure to
become an incredible companion who will bring endless joy and laughter to her forever home
