Introducing, JELLY!
If you’re looking for a dog who approaches life with unfiltered joy and enthusiasm, Jelly might just be your perfect match. Jelly is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who truly loves life. She greets each day with excitement, tail wags, and an eagerness to be part of whatever her people are doing.
Jelly adores people of all kinds and is equally enthusiastic about her canine friends. Meeting new humans and dogs is very exciting for her, and she makes no attempt to hide her feelings. On leash, this excitement can sometimes spill over into barking and pulling toward other dogs. While she is manageable, Jelly will thrive with an adopter who is patient, consistent, and willing to continue working on her leash skills to help her stay calm and focused during walks.
She has developed a bit of hesitation around vet visits and may put the brakes on when asked to go inside the clinic. Jelly’s future family should be open to helping her build confidence through positive, low-pressure “happy visits” to a local veterinary clinic so she can learn that the vet isn’t such a scary place after all. She is also quite sensitive to having her feet touched, so she will require some further practice with nail trims.
At home, Jelly will need supervision and good management, as she has been known to ingest socks or other soft items if given the chance. Keeping tempting items out of reach and providing appropriate enrichment will be key to her success.
Jelly is a bright, loving dog with so much affection to give. With guidance, structure, and lots of love, she’s ready to become an incredibly devoted companion.
