Meet Royden! Royden has moderate hip dysplasia but this doesn’t seem to slow him down! He is a laid-back, food-motivated dog who knows exactly when you have a treat—and when you don’t! His love of treats makes him a quick learner and eager participant in training. While he settles well indoors, Royden has a habit of quietly counter-surfing when left unsupervised, so a dog-proofed environment will help keep him safe and happy.
He’s generally good on leash, though he may occasionally “put on the brakes” if asked to go in a direction he’s unsure about.
Royden is great with kids and gets along well with cats that are used to dogs. He can be a little head shy at first, so patience is key—but once he’s comfortable, he loves to snuggle up right beside you. His calm nature carries over to his crate time, where he settles well and enjoys a quiet space to relax.
