Introducing, TARA!
Tara is a lovely young poodle with a sweet nature and an easygoing personality. Having been raised in a
home with other pets, she has grown into a social and well-adjusted dog who enjoys the company of
both people and animals. Tara has experience living in a moderately busy household and settles nicely
when things quiet down, making her a wonderful companion for a variety of home environments.
One of Tara’s favourite things is spending time with her people. She has been around children of various
ages and has shown herself to be gentle, affectionate, and comfortable in their presence. She also gets
along well with other dogs and would happily enjoy a canine companion in her new home, though she
would also do well as the only dog provided she receives plenty of attention and companionship. Tara
has lived successfully with a cat and has demonstrated respectful manners around feline friends.
Around the house, Tara is a pleasant and easy dog to live with. She is crate trained, settles well when left
alone, and has good household manners. She enjoys her toys, including soft toys, and can often be
found relaxing in a sunny spot outdoors. Tara travels beautifully in the car and is happy to quietly settle
in for the ride. On walks, she is generally well-mannered and enjoys getting out to explore the world.
Like many dogs, she finds squirrels and rabbits very exciting and may be tempted to give chase if given
the opportunity.
Tara is looking for an adopter who will continue helping her build confidence with grooming. While she
can find grooming procedures challenging at times, she has been making progress and will benefit from
a patient family committed to continuing positive training and handling exercises. With consistency,
understanding, and lots of encouragement, Tara has the potential to become even more comfortable
with the grooming care that is so important for her breed.
