Vanilla is a sweet little poodle with a gentle heart and an easygoing personality that’s hard not to fall in love with.
Vanilla is the kind of dog who settles into family life effortlessly. Around the house, she’s calm, trustworthy, and happy to simply be wherever her people are. Whether she’s lounging at your feet while you work or deciding it’s time for an afternoon snooze in her crate (a place she genuinely enjoys), Vanilla is wonderfully easy to have around.
She has so much love to give and isn’t shy about sharing it. Vanilla is affectionate, enjoys spending time with her people, and has a soft, loving nature that makes her a wonderful companion. She also gets along very well with other dogs and would happily share her home with a canine friend, though she’s equally capable of being the center of attention as an only dog. She’s also done well with young children, making her a lovely family dog.
On walks, Vanilla is generally polite on leash, but like many poodles, she can find birds, squirrels, and rabbits very exciting! She also appreciates a little guidance when passing other dogs or saying hello to them as she can get quite excited. At home, she has a habit of alert barking when she hears unfamiliar noises or notices dogs outside. She’s already working on this and has made progress, but she’ll need an adopter committed to continuing that training.
Vanilla was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia in her left hip; however, she is currently doing very well and is not showing any signs of discomfort. Keeping her lean and well-conditioned will be the most important part of managing her long-term comfort, and her new family may choose to explore a jointfriendly diet or supplements as a proactive measure.
Vanilla is a lovely mix of affectionate, gentle, and playful, and she’s ready to find a family who will appreciate all the wonderful qualities she has to offer.
