Every puppy is born with the potential to become a future Dog Guide, and we want to give them the best start possible. For a donation of $10,000, you can make a huge impact by helping to cover expenses such as:
Breeding and Genetics:
- Cost of breeding high-quality, genetically sound dogs suitable for service work.
- Genetic testing and screening to ensure the health and suitability of the parent dogs.
Puppy Care and Socialization:
- Veterinary care including vaccinations, deworming, and health checkups for the litter.
- Food and nutrition tailored for the specific needs of growing puppies.
- Housing and facilities to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the puppies.
- Early socialization experiences to prepare them for their future roles as service dogs.
Basic Training and Development:
- Training materials and resources for basic obedience and socialization training.
- Puppy staff to guide Volunteer Foster Families with their puppies through their early training stages.
- Equipment such as leashes, collars, puppy vests and crates
Health and Wellness:
- Continued veterinary care as the puppies grow and develop.
- Monitoring and management of any health issues or concerns that may arise during the training process.
As a Puppy Pal, you will receive:
- A Certificate of Adoption accompanied by a photo and information about the litter
- An update at about 16 months on where the dogs are and what they’re doing
When choosing to adopt please know:
- You cannot name the puppies
- You cannot choose the litter
- Litter size can vary
- Not all puppies graduate and are successful, and that’s okay. Through our Career Change program, they will find a home and go on to live wonderful, meaningful lives bringing joy to their family
