This is Orion! Orion is a 1-year-old Standard Poodle that was released from our puppy program because she is an anxious and under confident dog. She is currently on medication to help with her anxiety. She is looking for a home with patience that will allow her to settle in and become her happy, silly self!
Orion is a sweet girl who loves to be near her people. She is looking for someone who is usually home during the day and can help her become comfortable being alone. She is good in a crate when people are home but alone, she is much more comfortable when she has the freedom to roam. She is trustworthy in the house and is not destructive.
Orion loves her favourite humans and can be super excited to see them. She is working on keeping all 4 feet on the floor when saying “Hi!” and sometimes excitement pees. She has some experience with kids but would prefer a quieter home. Meeting new dogs can be a bit overwhelming for Orion, so slow introductions will help her feel comfortable. After being introduced, she loves running around and chasing her best doggie friends! She would do better with a dog her size or smaller that is well socialized.
This spunky poodle loves to play fetch with a Frisbee and is learning to play tug-of-war. When training, she loves tasty treats like freeze dried liver. Once she has settled in, she’s a loving girl and enjoys cuddles.
Orion knows her basic obedience cues. She walks well on leash with her halti and is great at focusing on her person. Squirrels are a little tricky for her because they look really fun to chase! She can’t find to find her forever family that will spoil her!

Kashi has basic obedience training. She’s good in her crate and walks well on leash. Without a Halti, she may pull especially if she sees a pesky squirrel! Off leash, she has good recall and sticks close to her humans.
Kashi can’t wait to find her perfect forever home!
Meet this handsome guy Zander! Zander is a 1 year old Standard Poodle that was released from our program because he has mild hip dysplasia. He hasn’t shown any symptoms and can live a normal pet life but should avoid high intensity exercises like agility or flyball.
Zander is looking for an active home. He’s a smart guy and a quick learner so he would love a family that wants to continue his training. He knows his basic obedience and has a good recall although sometimes it’s hard to respond when he’s playing with his best doggie friends!
Zander likes to be part of the action where he can join in his family’s day to day activities. If he’s crated and not included in the activity, he sometimes whines but will settle and he’s improving with time. He walks well on leash and enjoys car rides so he’d make a great companion for new adventures. He is trustworthy in a tidy environment but does like to pick up items like tissue or paper towels if they’re at his level, and will carry them back to his humans.
Zander gets along well with other dogs and enjoys play dates. He also lives with a couple of cats. He does like to try to play so he would do best with a dog-savvy cat. He doesn’t have a lot of exposure to kids and can be a little nervous so he would do best in a home with older children.
Playing fetch is the best game of all time! Zander will bring you his toys to initiate play. He enjoys a variety of toys but balls are his all time favourite.
Zander will be ready to go to his adoptive home in January 2023. If you think he’d make a great new family member, he’d love to meet you!

Zeddy is great on leash and would make the perfect walking partner! He has limited experience with children but he is gentle when he says hello! He has grown up with other dogs and would do well with another dog of his size in the home. He has a strong prey drive so cannot be in a home with cats or small animals.
This poodle is a smart guy and quick learner! He loves treats which makes it fun to teach new things. He is still working on some house manners because he can be a bit silly inside when he gets a burst of energy and likes to snoop for items like tissues and socks. He’s good in his crate and sometimes chooses to nap there on his own
People can be very exciting to Franklin so he’s working on saying “hello” calmly. He has some experience with children but would do best in a home with no children or older children. Franklin is great with other dogs. He has shown some prey drive, especially towards those pesky squirrels, so he needs a home without cats or small animals.
Outside Franklin loves to run around and play fetch. He is still working on his recall and he does know his basic cues. His favourite toys to play with are squeaky toys or kongs stuffed with a bit of peanut butter.
If you think Franklin would make the perfect addition to your home, he would love to meet you!
Say hello to Mr. Oscar! Oscar was released from our program due to his dog reactivity and under confidence. He is looking for a dog experienced home, without other dogs or children, that is dedicated to continuing his training.
Oscar LOVES his humans. He is a snuggle bug and is happiest being near people. He enjoys going for walks but his favourite thing to do is play fetch in the backyard. In the home, Oscar is trustworthy and good in his crate. He likes playing with lots of different toys and is non destructive. As a young dog, he can still be excitable with guests and needs help keeping all 4 feet on the floor.
Oscar has some basic obedience training. He is a smart dog that enjoys learning new things especially when it means getting the tastiest treats. He is continuing to work on his leash manners and is very reactive to other dogs. He can be strong on leash so we recommend using a halti or body harness.
