Meet handsome Merlot! He is a 9-month old puppy looking for a very special home to spoil him and be committed to his ongoing vet care. Merlot has been diagnosed with renal failure so he’ll need to be on a renal diet and may need medication. He is still an energetic, happy pup however his diagnosis will affect his lifespan. Due to his condition, he needs to go out more frequently so he is looking for someone who is home during the day.

Merlot’s condition hasn’t slowed him down! This puppy loves playing fetch, cuddling with his humans and occasionally getting the zoomies. He is good with other dogs and would love to have play dates with his 4-legged friends. He is good with older kids and is looking for a home without cats (he thinks they’re fun to chase!).

Being a young pup, Merlot is hoping his new home will continue his training and provide guidance so he can be the best dog! He does well in his crate and needs supervision when he’s loose in the home. He is continuing to learn his obedience skills and house manners. Merlot does well in the car and would love to have new adventures with his new family.

We are looking for a special home that wants to love and spoil this guy despite how his condition may affect his future. If you’re interested in Merlot, he would love to meet you!

Please check back another day.

Say “Hello” to Fulton. Fulton is a 1.5 year old Standard Poodle who was released from our program due to his excitability.

Fulton is a young guy looking for an active home that is able to invest time in his training. Meeting new people is super exciting and Fulton tends to become jumpy and mouthy. After getting used to a new person, he settles down but he needs guidance on how to remain calm and greet people appropriately.

Fulton gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a playmate that can keep up with him. He does not have any exposure to cats or small animals, and he would do best in a home with no children due to his excitable nature.

Fulton knows his basic cues like sit, down and wait. He is still working on his recall because playing outside is much more fun than being in the house! His favourite snacks are liver treats and he loves playing with his treat dispensing ball in his down time.  Fulton would make a great travel buddy because he likes car rides and being near his humans. He can be strong on leash so a head halter or body harness is highly recommended.

Fulton is looking for a home that understands the quirks of a spunky poodle and will shower him with love and treats!

This handsome guy is Faulkner! Faulkner is a 1-year-old poodle that was released from our training program due to his dog distraction.

Faulkner is a confident guy who knows what he wants in life. Adventures with his favourite people, tasty snacks, playing fetch and a nap here or there are what it takes to keep this boy happy. He is good at listening to cues and is very smart so he’s excited to add more tricks to his repertoire.

Faulkner would do best as the only dog in the home. He can be a bit bossy with other dogs in his home and doesn’t like to share his favourite treats. He gets along with dogs during play dates. He has limited exposure to children but has done well in a controlled setting.

This poodle enjoys being near his people and thinks he should get attention all day but understands his humans may need to work to pay for his cookies. He also needs help knowing what items are his and what items belong to his people because he likes to play a fun game of chase.

On walks, Faulkner is distracted by dogs and other animals. We highly recommend using a head halter or a body harness while continuing to work on his leash manners.

Faulkner is a happy, confident boy looking for a new best friend and forever home. He can’t wait to meet you!
