Jamie & Hollie

Jamie & Hollie

Jamie found that her white cane didn’t meet her mobility needs. It felt cumbersome and disorienting, and as a parent, she constantly worried about her and her children’s safety. She often avoided using it, relying on others for help.

Everything changed with her CVC Dog Guide, Hollie. Jamie was told to “trust your dog” – advice that proved lifesaving. While walking in a rural area, Hollie calmly stopped just in time to keep Jamie from stepping into the path of an oncoming truck.

“After receiving my Dog Guide Hollie, it significantly improved my independence, confidence, and overall sense of security. Hollie helps me navigate the world more smoothly, safely, and with far less anxiety.”

Hollie has given Jamie the confidence, safety, and independence she had been missing, and in that moment, saved her life.

Stefania & Fable

Stefania & Fable

Stefania and her Seizure Response Dog Guide, Fable, have been a team for over eight years. Fable alerts Stefania to seizures and offers crucial support. Since receiving Fable, Stefania has gained greater independence and confidence. As a high school teacher, she feels safe knowing Fable is always by her side.

“Before Fable, I struggled to live on my own or show others I could succeed without supervision. She has changed how I live and how I see myself. Today, I am more independent and confident in all parts of my life.”

Introducing Fable to her students was a special moment that helped teach lessons of support and acceptance beyond the curriculum.

Stefania encourages others considering a Dog Guide:
“It is a life-changing experience that builds trust and creates a deep bond. Every team is unique, and the journey leaves a lasting impact.”
